Nouvelle version de maintenance et la dernière de l'année 2012. Corrections de bugs au menu avec une liste de changements bien bien plus longue que la 4.2.4 (que je n'ai pas newsé).

Mozilla Firefox 17.0.1 / ESR 17.0.8

Après 6 semaines de dur labeur, voici que les développeurs de la fondation Mozilla nous présentent la nouvelle version de leur navigateur internet Mozilla Firefox (que l'on a d'ailleurs plus vraiment besoin de présenter). En bonus de la sortie classique du navigateur, la MoFo sort une nouvelle version à support étendu (ou appelé "ESR") afin de remplacer l'ancienne version 10.0.11 précédemment disponible.

Pour les nouveautés de la version 17.0, voici la liste ci-dessous :

  • NEW : Mac OS X 10.8: Support for Notification Center
  • NEW : Click-to-play blocklisting implemented to prevent vulnerable plugin versions from running without the user's permission (see blog post)

Nouvelle version pour Mozilla Firefox après 6 semaines de stabilisation à la recherche des derniers bugs qui pourrait gêner une utilisation normale du navigateur et naturellement un ajout de certaines fonctions.

Pour les nouveautés, voici la liste ci-dessous :

Oracle VM Virtualbox 4.2.2

Nouvelle mouture du virtualisateur de systèmes d'exploitation d'Oracle. Il s'agit aujourd'hui de la 1ère version correction de la branche 4.2 censée corriger les bugs de jeunesse des nouvelles fonctions récemment introduite.

Ubuntu 13.04 se nommera « Raring Ringtail »

En même temps que la sortie d'Ubuntu 12.10, Mark Shuttleworth a également annoncé le nom et les grandes lignes de la future version d'Ubuntu.

Pour le nom, Ubuntu 13.04 se nommera "Raring Ringtail" ou le raton laveur impatient et devra mettre le cap sur la légèreté du système afin de pouvoir l'installer sur les différentes tablettes du marché, sans oublier les smartphones et les télés connectés. Et pour y arriver, les développeurs devront absolument nettoyer le code inutilisé dans les différents fichiers qui compose le système.

Pour rappel, Ubuntu 13.04 sortira en avril 2013.

Ubuntu 12.10 « Quantal Quetzal » est disponible

Aujourd'hui est le jour de la sortie d'une nouvelle version du système d'exploitation Ubuntu. Disponible en version 12.10 gentiment nommé "Quantal Quetzal", le système apporte son lot de nouveautés dont voici la liste :

Oracle VM Virtualbox 4.2.0

Nouvelle version majeure pour le virtualisateur de système d'exploitation d'Oracle. En effet, Virtualbox 4.2.0 introduit de nouvelles fonctions parfois intéressantes pour certains types d'utilisateurs comme le support de Windows 8 (notamment les drivers de la carte graphique virtuelle), la possibilité de grouper certaines machines virtuelles et modifier celles-ci pendant leur fonctionnement sans compter la possibilité de démarrer une machine virtuelle dès le lancement du système d'exploitation hôte (Linux, OS X et Solaris uniquement).

Naturellement, avec ces nouvelles fonctions, une liste de correction plutôt longue est de la partie... la voici :

[MAJ] Mozilla Firefox 15.0.1

C'est après 6 semaines de développement intensif que la MoFo (la fondation Mozilla en gros) nous présente Firefox 15.0. Encore une fois, on a le droit à des améliorations sur des fonctions internes existantes et une nouveauté (qui devrait faire plaisir à ceux qui n'aiment pas Adobe Reader...).

Voici la liste des changements pour cette version :

  • Nouveau : Support préliminaire et natif des PDF
  • Nouveau : Support du protocole de réseau SPDY v3
  • Modification : Améliorations au niveau des fuites de mémoire causées par certaines extensions

Et voilà enfin l'aboutissement d'un développement complètement désaxé qui a commencé par une bêta 6 (puisque le stade bêta avait déjà commencé 5 semaines avant sur la plateforme mobile) pour se terminer aujourd'hui avec la sortie de... Firefox 14.0.1. En effet, pas de 14.0 puisque la version stable du navigateur mobile était sortie la semaine dernière. Néanmoins, à part la numérotation qui part dans tous les sens (ce ne sera pas le cas pour Firefox 15.0 je vous rassure), voici les nouveautés incluses dans cette nouvelle mouture :
